Valkyrie Hiker Experiences are for women ready to expand distance, elevation, and stamina. These guided hikes move into longer routes, and more varied terrain. Designed for those comfortable on uneven ground and ready for deeper physical engagement, this tier builds endurance, resilience, and confidence over an extended day on the trail.
The Experience
An iconic coastal route combining sustained distance with dramatic cliffside exposure overlooking the Bay of Fundy, Cape Split combines sustained distance with gradual elevation changes and expansive ocean views. The trail moves through forested sections before opening to exposed coastal lookouts where weather and wind conditions can shift quickly. While the route itself is well defined, the total distance and time commitment make this experience best suited to women with prior hiking experience and steady endurance. It is a full day commitment that rewards consistent pacing and physical preparation.

Cape Split Provincial Park
This route builds gradually through forested terrain before transitioning onto exposed granite as you approach the base of Castle Rock, with uneven footing, roots, and increasing effort as the trail narrows and steepens. The final ascent onto the summit is short but demanding, however the summit delivers wide, unobstructed views over East River Bay and surrounding islands, with Big Tancook Island visible in the distance, creating a strong sense of scale and reward.

Castle Rock Trail
This dynamic wilderness loop moves through open burn areas and moss covered forest before reaching a series of scenic lookoffs including Rolling Stone, Harbour Lookoff, and Admiral Lake Lookoff. Sweeping views extend across Musquodoboit Harbour, coastal waters, and the island scattered surface of Admiral Lake. Along the route, hikers encounter varied terrain including cliffside sections above Eunice Lake and a talus cave feature that adds texture and geological interest. The sustained distance and elevation shifts make this experience ideal for women ready to combine endurance with varied terrain and expansive scenery.

Admiral Lake Wilderness Loop
Situated within the Five Bridge Lakes Wilderness Area in Timberlea, this longer Pathfinder route offers steady elevation shifts and varied surfaces. The trail begins with a gentle approach and boardwalk before transitioning into rocky forest terrain with consistent elevation change. Along the way, hikers experience views of Cranberry Lake and an elevated clearing near the far end of the loop. This experience builds sustained pacing, balance, and confidence across varied terrain, all within a fully supported small group setting.
