Valkyrie Hiker Experiences are for women ready to expand distance, elevation, and stamina. These guided hikes move beyond the basics into longer routes, and more varied terrain. Designed for those comfortable on uneven ground and ready for deeper physical engagement, this tier builds endurance, resilience, and confidence over an extended day on the trail.
The Experience

An iconic coastal route combining sustained distance with dramatic cliffside exposure overlooking the Bay of Fundy, Cape Split combines sustained distance with gradual elevation changes and expansive ocean views. The trail moves through forested sections before opening to exposed coastal lookouts where weather and wind conditions can shift quickly. While the route itself is well defined, the total distance and time commitment make this experience best suited to women with prior hiking experience and steady endurance. It is a full day commitment that rewards consistent pacing and physical preparation.
Cape Split Provincial Park

This demanding forest route climbs steadily through dense woods before reaching the granite shoreline of Granite Lake. Expect sustained elevation, exposed rock sections, roots, and uneven footing throughout the ascent. The terrain requires consistent focus and energy management over longer stretches. Granite Lake is well suited to hikers who are confident navigating fatigue, technical footing, and sustained climbs. The reward is a rugged granite lakeshore that feels earned and immersive.
Granite Lake Trail

This dynamic wilderness loop moves through open burn areas and moss covered forest before reaching a series of scenic lookoffs including Rolling Stone, Harbour Lookoff, and Admiral Lake Lookoff. Sweeping views extend across Musquodoboit Harbour, coastal waters, and the island scattered surface of Admiral Lake. Along the route, hikers encounter varied terrain including cliffside sections above Eunice Lake and a talus cave feature that adds texture and geological interest. The sustained distance and elevation shifts make this experience ideal for women ready to combine endurance with varied terrain and expansive scenery.
Admiral Lake Wilderness Loop
Distance: ~7.7 km
Elevation Gain: ~318 m
Time on Trail: ~2.5 to 3 hours
Trail Type: Loop
Trip Duration: 1 day
Set within one of Nova Scotia’s most dramatic coastal wilderness areas, the McGahey Canyon Loop introduces longer distance, sustained elevation shifts, and a more remote trail environment. The route weaves through wooded sections and follows stretches alongside a flowing brook before climbing steadily through one sustained uphill segment that provides a meaningful but manageable physical test. This experience marks a clear progression from introductory hikes, offering deeper immersion, rugged terrain, and a stronger endurance focus while remaining guided and structured.
McGahey Canyon Loop
A day pack suitable for trail conditions
Sturdy hiking boots or trail shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
All personal food and snacks for the duration of the experience
Personal hydration system with a minimum 2 litre capacity
A detailed packing guide will be provided after booking.

What is Included
Cancellations made 72 hours or more prior to departure receive a full refund
Cancellations made within 72 hours of departure are non refundable. However, if your spot is filled from the waitlist, you will receive a full refund minus a $10 administrative fee

Weather and Safety Policy
Valkyrie Adventures reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify an experience if conditions are deemed unsafe. This may include lightning, high winds, severe weather warnings, extreme heat, or any other circumstance that could compromise participant safety.
If an experience is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen safety concerns, participants will receive either a full refund or the option to transfer to a future date.
Cancellation Policy
Cape Split Provincial Park: $160 CAD per participant
Granite Lake Trail: $150 CAD per participant
Admiral Lake Wilderness Loop: $150 CAD per participant
McGahey Canyon Loop: Offered as part of a multi day adventure only
