Answer the Call
There is something different about spending time in places where everything you need is carried on your back.
Many women arrive wondering how they'll handle the distance, the pack, the campsite, or the challenges that come with spending time in a remote environment.
By the end of the adventure, they often find themselves watching the sunset from camp, sharing stories with new friends, and realizing that what once felt intimidating has become familiar.
The goal isn't to become an expert backpacker overnight. It's to experience what happens when you spend time beyond the trailhead and discover that you are capable of more than you thought.
Whether you're looking for your first overnight backcountry experience or your next wilderness adventure, Backcountry Warrior is designed to help you explore farther.
“The experience challenged me in ways I didn't expect. By the end, I wasn't just proud of what I had accomplished, I had a completely different understanding of what I was capable of."

THE EXPERIENCE
Part 1: Prepare for the Expedition
Success in the backcountry begins long before you step onto the trail.
Participants receive detailed pre-trip information designed to help them prepare for an overnight wilderness experience. This includes route information, distance, elevation, terrain expectations, gear recommendations, packing guidance, food planning considerations, and information about what to expect throughout the trip.
Before departure, we review the route, campsite plans, weather conditions, safety considerations, and group expectations so everyone arrives ready to focus on the adventure.
Part 2: Venture Beyond the Trailhead
This is where the adventure begins.
Unlike a day hike, backcountry travel requires a different mindset. Participants carry their equipment, food, water, and overnight gear while travelling through remote environments where self-sufficiency, preparation, and teamwork become part of the experience.
The pace is intentional. While reaching camp is part of the journey, so is taking time to appreciate the landscape, enjoy the company of the group, and experience the satisfaction that comes from travelling through remote places under your own power.
Part 3: Develop Wilderness Self-Reliance
For many participants, camp becomes one of the most memorable parts of the adventure.
After a day on the trail, there is something uniquely satisfying about arriving at a remote campsite, settling in, sharing a meal, and spending time surrounded by nature and good company.
It's often here that participants realize they are more comfortable, adaptable, and capable than they expected.
Part 4: Build Your Adventure Community
Some of the best conversations happen around camp.
Backcountry Warrior brings together women who share a desire for adventure, personal growth, and meaningful outdoor experiences. Whether sharing stories over dinner, celebrating the completion of a challenging hike, or simply enjoying the quiet of a remote campsite, participants often discover that the connections formed in the wilderness are every bit as memorable as the landscapes themselves.
For many women, the experience becomes more than an overnight trip. It becomes a reminder of what is possible when preparation, determination, and adventure come together.
